Our Baby Girl

Introducing our daughter, Josephine Belle. She arrived 3 weeks early on April 16th at 2:03pm by emergency c-section. I'll spare you the details but it was a little traumatic, though everyone's doing just fine now.

The Importance of Family Photos

Hi friends! I wanted to just take a moment to share something with you. A friend sent me a message that really touched my heart, tonight. She recently lost her husband in a car accident and while looking through their photos realized they only have a handful of photos with all four of their family members, and none of them has all four of them looking at the camera. They only had 17 short months together as a family and that is just far too short! She asked that I encourage everyone to have family photos taken often and soon if you haven't had them recently. I absolutely agree with her even if I am not your photographer. And please hug your loved ones. Life is so short!

Several of my customers, family and friends have asked if they could hire me just to follow them around all day taking pictures. This concept is my latest service I am offering. I will follow you and/or your family around for up to 8 hours taking high-quality, photojournalistic style photographs. You and I will then choose which photos will make up your photo book, "A Day in the Life of Me". The total cost for this project is just $500 (includes day of photography, editing and one photo book). Individual prints and photo DVDs can be purchased at an additional charge.

Book any four days in a one year time period and pay half price ($1000). What a great collection of photo books for a new baby, newlyweds, first year in your new home, children or anyone who's having a big year!

Votes for Ewan Needed, Please!

Hi everyone! I want to let you know that Ewan has been entered in the 'Detroit's Most Photogenic Baby' contest. We took him last weekend for a brief photo shoot and chose two of the pictures to enter into two different catagories. There are two different ways he could win. There will be professional model and talent judges who will judge the photos and that will take place on October 10th & 11th and winners will be announced on October 12th. We are also collecting votes for him and the child in each age group with the most votes wins a trophy and the opportunity to be on The Children's Miracle Network marathon. Votes cost 50 cents each and all proceeds go towards the CMN. Also, any child who raises $100 in votes receives a cd of all the photos taken at their photo session. That is really our goal.The money is collected on October 10th & 11th so please scrounge up what you can and donate to a great cause and help Ewan at the same time. Here are a couple of photos from the first wedding I've ever photographed. I was just the assistant on this wedding but it was a GREAT learning experience and I'm super excited to do more. It was technically the renewal of vows between two awesome guys who joined in a civil union 10 years ago. But seriously? It was more elaborate than many weddings I've been to, including my own. K & L (and their dog, T) are beautiful and I really hope to get to work with them doing some family photos soon.
